The problem is: you think you have time.

The problem is: you think you have time.

Hey y'all, let's have a quick chat about one of the most valuable resources we all have. We all have the same amount of it in a day, but not the same amount in a lifetime. I’m talking about Time.

Time... such a fragile and delicate thing. We all tend to treat time as if it’s something we will never run out of. “One day, I’ll stop working so much and travel,” “Some day we’ll chase that dream,” “Once things slow down, then we will do that thing we’ve always wanted.” We all have scenarios in life where these words ring true. I am just as guilty of this as the next guy. But the problem is, our time will run out, each day we live, we are one day closer to death. This realization is both a blessing and a curse.
The problem is: you think you have time
The curse of this predicament is that if we don’t use our time wisely and act as though we have tons of time left, we run the risk of living life without fulfilling our hopes and dreams. We run the risk of laying on our deathbed with regret and remorse, saying “I wish I hadn’t worked so much," or "I wish I had chased that dream.”

The blessing is, we can carve out the time RIGHT NOW, to do the things we’ve always wanted. But we have to act with purpose, we cannot waste our fleeting time. We must remain focused and only put our resources into things that serve us in a positive way. We have to make sacrifices and challenge ourselves daily in order to use our time wisely. Also, we must ask ourselves, what is it that we want out of this one precious life? What is it that we want to see or do, or who do we want to help? We must ask ourselves these questions often and dig deep into our thoughts to find the answers. Look at our past experiences, passions, and times when we felt truly alive. Find out what sets our souls on fire and pursue it fearlessly, as if our life depends on it. Because, my friends, it does.
