About
I believe we could all use a bit more inspiration and encouragement in our lives.
Because let's face it, life is hard, and it's full of high-highs and low-lows. For me, creativity helps bridge the gap between the two. Creativity challenges us to find inspiration among the ordinary and see beauty in the mundane. It also encourages us to be brave in the face of fear and conquer our self-doubt.
As an artist, my mission is to create art that inspires and encourages you to embrace creativity, seek out beauty among the ordinary, and uncover the most authentic version of yourself.
I created Letters from Fran out of the desire to inspire and encourage other people through art; just the way my Mom, Fran, did with her homemade strawberry jam and seamstress abilities when I was a little girl.
When I am not working in my studio, I enjoy spending time on the water with my boys (my hubs and son) and our two pups. Whether we are exploring local islands, snorkeling in the warm water, or fishing for dinner, I always find inspiration in the natural beauty that surrounds me and I love sharing it with others.
Who is Fran?
Fran was my super awesome Mom and the creative one of the family. She would sell homemade strawberry jam and hand-made embroidered hoop art at our small town festivals when I was a kid. She was a wonderful seamstress and always made our family Halloween costumes and my high school prom dress.
My mom, Fran, loved adding joy to people’s lives through her creative abilities. Even though she is no longer with us, her creative energy continues to inspire and encourage people today through my art, as Letters from Fran.
